CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

STRETCH & CORE

Have a full body stretch, lengthen the muscles and tone your core with some abdominal exercises.

BOOTY

A series of exercises focusing on strengthening and toning the butt.

HIIT45

45 MINUTES – High Intense Interval Training, a series of cardio exercises to bring up the heart rate and blast some calories.

AQUA

An aerobics class all done in our heated pool.  Take the impact off your joints, have some fun and get a great cardio workout that’s kind on your joints.  Flotation belts and noodles provided.

BETTER WITH AGE

Exercises designed to increase muscular strength, range of movement and functional fitness to enhance your daily living. A wide variety of equipment will be used to offer resistance as well as balance, core strength, aerobic conditioning and stretching. This class is designed to improve the quality of life for our more mature members.

FUNCTIONAL TRAINING

Train your muscles to work together and prepare them for daily tasks by simulating common movements you might do at home, at work or in sports. While using various muscles in the upper and lower body at the same time, functional fitness exercises also emphasize core stability.

PILATES

A method of strengthening, lengthening and stretching the whole body.  Improve your strength, flexibility and posture.

BODYBAR

A full body workout to strengthen, tone and burn fat.  By using bars and weight plates you can choose your own weights and work at your own level. 

ZUMBA

Zumba is a fitness program that combines Latin and international music with dance moves. Zumba routines incorporate interval training — alternating fast and slow rhythms.

CYCLE

50 MINUTES – Take on the terrain through hills, flats, mountain peaks, time trials, and interval training all while staying in the comfort on a stationary bike the cycle studio.

COMBAT

Is a high-energy martial arts-inspired workout that is totally non-contact. No experience needed. Learn moves from Karate, Taekwondo, Boxing, Muay Thai, Capoeira and Kung Fu. Release stress, have a blast and feel like a champ.

YOGA

A moving meditation class focusing on the breath while stretching and strengthening your body and working on your centre with postures and balances.

COREFIT

A class concentrating on Core training to create a balanced, strong and sculpted trunk.

CIRCUIT

A high energy class focusing on enhancing your cardiovascular fitness, increasing your metabolism and improving your muscle tone via a variety of training techniques such as interval training and bodyweight exercises. An excellent workout designed for all fitness levels.
